Homework 8-9-17

 

Welcome back– We hope you had a great summer and have come back

refreshed and ready for another exciting year!

Home work is handed out on a Friday and is to be handed in by the

following Wednesday.

Our P.E. day is a Thursday. Don’t forget to keep up with your reading and note your progress in your reading diary– make sure you bring this in each day as you will also need it to change books and for guided reading. Keep working on your times tables as there will be tests most weeks too!

For you homework you need to choose one task from your homework grid below and also complete the exercise below in your work book in your homework folder.

This week you are to complete the first objective test in your maths book.

Year 5 CGP Maths, pages 2 –5 Do as many as you can without any help.

Year 6 CGP Maths, pages 2 –5 Do as many as you can without any help.

Write a prayer of remembrance.

 

Investigate your family tree and find out whether any members of your family served in the World Wars.

Send a poster card from

the front.

Find out and present what conditions were like in the WW1 trenches.

Design a board game which includes your street.

Find a poem about a World War and explain why you like it.

 

Design your own regimental crest (badge).

Make a poster advertising joining the British Army.

 

Design a poppy for Remembrance Sunday.

What was the Dicken Medal? Find out about somebody who was awarded it and recount their story .
