Educational Visits

When we take children from school to any activity/visit a Risk Assessment is carried out and the Local Authority are informed. For the visit, the Local Authority request the following information about your child, in the unlikely event of a critical incident:

 Child's Name

 Contact Name

 Contact's relationship to the child

 Contact's telephone numbers

All of this information is held on SIMS, our management information system, here in school. As we take data protection very seriously in school, we have asked the Local Authority how this information is to be stored and what will happen to it after the visit has taken place. We have been assured that this information will only be accessed in the event of a critical incident, that the data is held on a secure server in the United Kingdom and that the data will never be shared with a third party.

Please remember that in order to secure your child's place on a trip, we must be in receipt of full payment before the trip goes ahead. Failure to clear a balance before a trip takes place will regrettably result in your child being unable to go. Payments can be made online via ParentPay, or into the office by cash or cheque.

If you need to discuss trip payments, please inform the office.
